CRR Activity 1

Finally our CRR-Activity 1 has finished in more excitement and successful manner on 04/07/2009.
I need to thank to NCLP(National Child Labor Project) members and Child Help Line Members and also HCL-CRR volunteers whom joined with us.

Especially I should thank Samson and Porres for their support and Mrs.Mercy Joy Joshua (NCLP Project Leader) and Mrs.Sridevi(Child Help Line Project Leader)for
arranging their team members for us.

Initially we planned to rescue the child labors from the location which is mentioned below…

1.Chithra Hot Chips,Mylapore Identified By Chithra Viswanathan
2.Ironwala in Mylapore Identified By Anitta Venkatesh
3.Helper in Bike Mechanic Shop,Korattur Identified By Nagabhushanam Vemula
4.Helper in Karpagam Hotel,Mugappair Identified By Ponmuthu Ramalingam and Pandiarajan

On the way to second place(ironwala) , we identified one child labor on the way(one mechanic shop in mylapore).

CRR-Activity 1

1. Name :- Sakthi
Age :- Below 14 or 15
Address :- Moongil Medu,
Pennagaram Taluk,
Darmaburi District.
Job :- Helper
Working Address :- Chithra Hot Chips,
No :4 Venkateshwara Agraharam,
Baba Koil Road,Mylapore,Chennai-4.
Parents :- No Idea for owner
Salary :- No
Working Hour :- No
Identified By :- Chithra Viswanathan
Status :- We didn’t see that child,he is staying in paniththurai. shopkeepers told that he
is not coming for working purpose.
NCLP and CHL warned them and got report about that child and one letter
too.
Chithra and other volunteers whom are near to that place, please track
this case.

2. Name :- Manigandan
Age :- 14 Std(Studied) :- 9th
Address :- Chennai
Job :- Helper
Working Address :- KJG Automobiles,
No :66/164 P.S Sivasamy Salai,
Mylapore,Chennai-4.
Parents :- Venkateswaran - Gangammaal
Salary :- 500 (per week),owner told that he is working in last 2 weeks
Working Hour :- 9 - 7
Identified By :- On the Spot
Status :- NCLP and CHL reported him and rescued with the help of police and handed
over him in CHL Office,Shenoy Nagar.
Owner and others came to CHL office and made trouble so that boy got
transferred to Royapuram Boys Home and
He details got submitted in CWC(Child Welfare Committee). Now after the
CWC process is done, we can come to know about further process,
I shall track about him.

3. Name :- Yuvaraj
Age :- 13 Std(Studied) :- 6th
Address :- Vagai,Kanchipuram
Job :- Helper
Working Address :- GK Autoworks,(On the way to Vivekananda school,right side
shop will come in that street from korattur main road)
Korattur.
Parents :- Munusamy – Kanniamma , Sister :- Lakshmi
Salary :- 1000 (per month)
Working Hour :- 8 - 8
Identified By :- Nagabhushanam Vemula
Status :- NCLP and CHL reported him and told the shop owner to handed over the boy
on Monday 6th July in CHL Office,Shenoy Nagar.
CHL has confirmed to me that Owner handed over the boy and his details will
be submitted in CWC(Child Welfare Committee)after the CWC process
only we can come to know about further process,
Nagabhushanam and other volunteers whom are near to that place,
please track this case.

4. Name :- Muthuraj
Age :- 15 or below Std(Studied) :- 10th
Address :- Narkalai Kottai,tuticorin
Job :- Helper
Working Address :- New Kerala Hot Chips,(Just opposite to GK Autoworks)
Korattur.
Parents :- Ramasamy – Vadamalliga , Brother :- Muthu Selvaraj
Salary :- 1700 (per month)
Working Hour :- 7 to 10

Status :- NCLP and CHL reported him and told the shop owner to handed over the boy

P.S :-

=>Yesterday(09/07) CHL Went to Karpagam Hotel, Mugapair and reported about
the child labor who is identified by Ponmuthu Ramalingam and Pandiarajan.
As police didn’t come to the spot at right time, they couldn’t rescue him after
that shop was closed.
Today(10/07) they are going to rescue him with the help of police and labor
inspector
=>Next time we are going to rescue the ironwala who is in mylapore identified by
Anitta Venkatesh
=>I have attached the manigandan snap who rescued by our CRR Activity
=>Because of the time constraint I couldn’t able to prepare the above information
in report format in word or excel,I have to do that soon.
