CRR Activity 2

Our CRR-Activity 2 has also executed in more excitement and successful manner on 01/08/2009.
I would like to thank to NCLP(National Child Labor Project) members and Child Help Line(CHL) Members.
Also would like to thank the below HCL-CRR volunteers who put their presence with us.

My special thanks to Samson and Porres for their support and Mrs.Mercy Joy Joshua (NCLP Project Leader) and Ms.Sridevi(Child Help Line Project Leader)for arranging their team members for us.

As per our plan, we rescued the child labors from the locations which is mentioned below:

1.Sri Murali Krishna Foods,Shanthi Colony Identified By Premnath Sathmeegam
2.Construction Working Place,Anna Nagar East Identified By Preethe Madhavan
3.Cloth and Books Selling Children in Thirumangalam and Koyambedu Signals

1. Name :- Manohar
Age :- Below 14 Std(Studied) :- 4th
Address :- Nellore,Karalam
Job :- Table Cleaner
Working Address :- Sri Murali Krishna Foods,
10th Street,Shanthi Colony
Parents :- Siniaya - Alamelu
Salary :- 2000
Working Hour :- 13 Hrs
Identified By :- Premnath Saathmeegam
Status :- NCLP and CHL reported him and rescued with the help
of police and handed
over him in CHL Office,Shenoy Nagar.
His details got submitted in CWC(Child Welfare
Committee). Now after the
CWC process is done, we can come to know about further
process,
I shall track about him.

2. Name :- Vasu
Age :- Above 14 Std(Studied) :- 4th
Address :- Nellore,Karalam
Job :- Table Cleaner (As last 4 months)
Working Address :- Sri Murali Krishna Foods,

Parents :- Govind - Mangammal
Salary :- Cant Identify
Working Hour :- 13 Hrs

3. Name :- Suresh
Age :- Above 16 Std(Studied) :- 5th

Salary :- 2000
Working Hour :- 13 Hrs

4. Name :- Nanoji
Age :- Above 14 Std(Studied) :- 7th
Address :- Baligram Sunsarpur,Mushidapathi Jilla,Kolkatta
Job :- Helper in Construction
Working Address :- E Block,No 48,
3rd Street,Anna Nagar East,
Chennai-102
Parents :- Bhirsahib – Nadamma Devi
Salary :- Cant Identify(his brother is working there,no specific
salary for nanoji)
Working Hour :- Depends
Identified By :- Preethi Madhavan
Status :- NCLP and CHL reported him and rescued with the help
of police and handed over him in CHL Office,Shenoy
Nagar.
His details got submitted in CWC(Child Welfare
Committee). Now after the CWC process is done, we can
come to know about further process,CHL Chief Sridevi
has talked to nanoji’s brother,he is not willing to hand
over him in any home alone,they are trying to convince
him otherwise has told him to take his brother to his
home town.I shall track about him.

5.Identified Selvam(Age 13)in Anna Nagar East construction Place, he is studying 8th std and he is in govt. home, his father is working in that construction, as his father wants, we have told him to contact concern NCLP members to change the home of that child for his further studies, have asked NCLP members to track him

6.Identified cloth and book selling child labors in thirumangalam signal ,but unfortunately not able to rescue them. Then we rescued one child in koyambedu signal, we had gone to K4 Police Station with that child and with his mother, his mother told that he is studying and helping us in holidays, police have warned them.

P.S :-

=>That day, while rescuing children’s begging in traffic areas, we had a bad experience in police station. The police peoples treated that lady in bad manner like beating and all. So, we have changed our approach. Instead of rescuing them in signals , we have planned to go in their living areas and will talk about the govt policy and their children education in soft manner.

=>We are planning to do some needful to the home(which is in shenoy nagar CHL office and other govt.home)along with CRR and provide some teachings to those children in the weekends. Those who are interested to participate please contact below responsible persons…

=>One point- Ms.Sridevi told that - only if parents or children agree to join the govt home , then only the child can be sent to special schools. The CHL and CWC members are giving lots of counseling for that. Also the fine amount can be collected by the child after the age of 18 from concern govt.office.

=> Those who are know any magazine peoples(especially local magazines) or tv channel peoples as personally please let us know so that we can spread this information to society in all possible ways.


Success will be ours ,only if the concern child is sent to home for studies.
Till now no such child has been sent to home. So our further aim should be to send the
identified children to home.
Further using our CRR activities , we all should create awareness on this so that the identified shop owners will not allow any child labours in their shops.
