Multi-Organ Donation Camp
Hi All,
The Community Service Council of HCL Technologies, Chennai in association with MOHAN Foundations organized an Organ Donation Camp in their Ambattur-6 facility on 27th,March ’08. This being a first ever corporate initiative on Organ Donation in
Mr. Ravi Kishore, who heads the Community Service Council, HCL and a Deputy General Manager there, told that this in a kick off function and this camp will be organized nation wide in all the HCL offices in Chennai,
The employees raised so many doubts on organ donation. MOHAN foundation also issued donor cards to the interested people and delivered brochures explaining organ donation.
THE Community Service Council Team from HCL Ambattur-6 was happy that the event was a big success in its aim of creating the awareness to the employees.
The event also gained media attention and there was an exclusive coverage from NDTV.
Lesson of this Camp : So far, there is no repository things in government hospitals for organs.we are going to conduct this organ donation camp in all over India and will get sign from all employees regarding government should start organ bank and will suggest government to initiate the organ bank(repository things)in government hospitals.
Regards,
CSC-AMB6
Blood Donation Camp-2
The total donors are around 85.Thanks for your voluntary service.
Lesson of this camp : We should give chance to government blood banks comparing private blood banks, then only our service will reach to poor.We are going to follow this principle in future camps.
We have adopted CHILD
This information is to raise fund for an NGO named "CHILD" which is in Annai Nagar,Korratur, here is a brief information about CHILD
CHILD is an NGO started and run by Mr.Senthil for children who turned to be orphans because of their parents infected with HIV. The children at CHILD are tested and approved to be HIV negative. Senthil was working in KMC under HIV blood testing unit, he was earning a salary of amount Rs.7000/month.as his contract period finished now he is working in one private concern and earning around Rs.4000/- Right now there are around 20 children's at home and the total expense for the home amounts to 37,200 /month. The fund income for this home is too less, as a result the infrastructure is too poor and Senthil also finds it hard to manage the expenses for the home.
This CHILD infrastructure is very bad and worst and it seems to get very worst during rainy days.
